In keeping with our key pillars 'inspire' and 'equip', the Design Institute of Australia warmly invites you to an evening discussing the principals of lighting design.
Join Michel Goupy from LightStudioMG, Angus Henderson from Henderson & Co and Jovica Sredojevic from Light Practice as they discuss several recent lighting projects.
We will learn about the technology, products, differences in using indirect lighting versus wall washing, highlighting, using lighting to feature areas/objects, ways to control glare and the use of LED lighting.
Michel studied Industrial Design at the University of Western Sydney and commenced his lighting career in 2001 working with the internationally regarded lighting planners Lighting Design Partnership (LDP) followed by lighting supplier Xenian in 2005 and PointOfView in 2007.
In 2012, Michel established Light Studio MG which has quickly become prominent in the region. The Illuminating Engineering Society recognised Michel’s work with an IES Award of Commendation 2016 for North Lakes Restaurant Precinct. His relationship with large architectural firms and designers has grown significantly due to close collaboration and a clear understanding of project expectations, which on recent projects have led to successful outcomes.
